Merry Christmas to one and all! Come to the manger to join the celebration! Under my Christmas tree, I have arranged a manger scene consisting of several stuffed animals and dolls, all gathered to adore the Son of God, come to earth as a baby.

“Oh come, let us adore Him. Christ the Lord.”

“Hark, the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn King!”

Penny would like to take you on a little Christmas tour to show you what she’s been up to lately. She is enjoying these old fashioned glass bulbs and silver chains on the Christmas tree.

We learned this year how to make these clever little folded paper trees and we sure have been enjoying ourselves making them. I’ll include a video to show details, but here are a few steps in the process for your entertainment.

This is the video, https://youtu.be/xcZ9ROKfn-Y (Or Google “3D Paper Christmas Tree”) Each tree is made of just one square of green paper. I found that a 12 inch square scrapbook paper worked the best for me, and gave me some pretty green prints for variety. My smaller trees were made with 8 1/2 inch square paper.

After cutting the little slits, you fold each one down to form a point. I love how realistic these trees look!

Penny was gifted this mini glass nativity set, that looks lovely among the newly crafted trees.

And one more nativity set, the smallest of all! Even Penny must crouch to look at it.

“The stars in the sky look down where He lay, the little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay..”

“Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room, and Heaven and nature sing….”

“It came upon the midnight clear, That glorious song of old, From angels bending near the earth to touch their harps of gold. Peace on the earth, good-will to men, from Heaven’s all-gracious King. The world in solemn stillness lay to hear the angels sing!!”

“Then pealed the bells more loud and deep, God is not dead, nor doth He sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, With peace on earth, good-will to men!”

“Silent night! Holy night! Son of God, Love’s pure light, Radiant beams from Thy holy face, With the dawn of redeeming grace; Jesus, Lord at Thy birth; Jesus, Lord at Thy birth.”

“Oh come Thou Dayspring, come and cheer, Our spirits by Thine advent here; And drive away the shades of night, And pierce the clouds and bring us light! Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel!”
